Terms of Service

Infinity Dictate is a macOS application that provides voice-to-text dictation with AI-powered text refinement. The application is available as a menu bar app for macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later.

The service is offered across multiple subscription tiers:

• Free — Unlimited on-device dictation with core transcription features. No credit card required.
• Pro — Unlimited AI features (Auto-polish, Rewrite formats) with Fair Use policy, priority processing, and priority support.
• Enterprise — Unlimited AI features with no restrictions, enhanced security, and dedicated support (SSO and dedicated success manager coming soon).

All tiers include unlimited local (offline) dictation using on-device processing.

To use certain features of Infinity Dictate, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to the following:

• You must provide a valid email address for account registration and communication.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login information with others.
• Only one account per individual is permitted. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or for other purposes is prohibited.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized that activity.

Infinity Dictate offers both free and paid subscription plans:

• Free tier: Includes unlimited on-device transcription at no cost. No credit card is required.
• Paid tiers: Provide unlimited AI features (such as Auto-polish and Rewrite formats) with Fair Use policy, and additional device slots depending on the plan.

All payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app or your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.

No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will not receive a prorated refund for the remaining days in that period.

You agree to use Infinity Dictate only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or manipulate rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions imposed by the service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the application or its components.
• Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or any part thereof without our express written permission.
• Abuse the AI processing features, including but not limited to: prompt injection attacks, attempts to extract system prompts, or deliberate submission of adversarial inputs designed to manipulate AI behavior.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

Infinity Dictate uses artificial intelligence to transcribe, refine, and format your dictated content. By using the service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Your transcripts may be processed by third-party AI services for speech-to-text transcription, text refinement, and formatting.
• AI-generated refinements, corrections, and formatting may not be perfect. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all output before use, particularly in professional, legal, or medical contexts.
• We implement automatic redaction of detected personally identifiable information (PII) before sending content to third-party AI providers. However, this redaction is best-effort and may not catch all sensitive information. You should avoid dictating highly sensitive data such as passwords, financial account numbers, or similar information.
• AI processing is subject to the terms, limitations, and availability of our third-party AI providers. We are not responsible for changes to or outages of third-party AI services.

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all transcripts, dictated content, and any text generated through your use of the service. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

No Training on Your Data: We do not use your transcripts, dictated content, or any user-generated material to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your content is yours alone.

Our Property: The Infinity Dictate application, website, brand, logos, documentation, and underlying technology (including proprietary algorithms, software code, and system architecture) are the intellectual property of Infinity Dictate and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without express written permission.

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for comprehensive details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Key privacy commitments:

• Audio is not stored: Audio data is processed in real-time for transcription and is not retained on our servers after processing is complete.
• Local-first storage: Transcripts and dictation history are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain copies of your transcripts on our servers.
• Encrypted connections: All data transmitted between the application and our servers is encrypted using TLS.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Specifically, we do not warrant that:

• Transcriptions or AI-powered refinements will be accurate, complete, or error-free.
• The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of defects.
• Results obtained through the service will meet your specific requirements.

Maximum liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount of fees you paid to us during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes in third-party services that Infinity Dictate relies upon, including but not limited to our speech-to-text, AI language model, and payment processing providers.

By you: You may delete your account at any time through the application settings. Upon account deletion, your server-side data (account information, usage records, and subscription details) will be permanently deleted.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if we are required to do so by law. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance, except where immediate action is required to protect the service or other users.

Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to access the cloud features of the service will cease immediately. Locally stored data on your device (transcripts, settings, dictionaries) will remain on your device and is not affected by account termination.

We may update or modify these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices.

When we make changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect.

Your continued use of Infinity Dictate after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service and delete your account.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
